On Farm Visitor Terms and Conditions
By attending and participating in activities at Alpaca Acres, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
* This is a working farm environment. Surfaces may be uneven, muddy, or slippery, and there may be farm equipment, fencing, and other natural hazards present. Please take care at all times.
* You enter the farm and participate in activities at your own risk. Alpaca Acres and its staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings unless caused by negligence.
* Animals on the farm, including alpacas, goats, and other livestock, are friendly but unpredictable. Please treat all animals with respect and follow any instructions given by staff.
* No hand feeding of animals — this is for the safety of both visitors and our animals.
* No pets policy: For the safety and wellbeing of our animals, visitor pets are not permitted on the farm.
* No smoking policy: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the farm premises.
* Animal welfare is our priority: Any unkindness or aggression towards our animals will result in the experience being stopped, animals being returned to their enclosures, and you may be asked to leave the farm.
* Important health notice: Pregnant visitors are advised not to touch or have close contact with animals due to the risk of zoonotic infections that can be harmful during pregnancy.
* Always wash or sanitise your hands at our handwash station after touching animals.
* Clothing and footwear: Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn. We recommend sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Access to certain areas, including petting areas, may be denied if suitable footwear is not worn.
* Accessibility: The farm is set on natural ground which may be uneven, muddy, or difficult to navigate. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are used at the visitor’s own discretion and risk. We advise booking in late spring and summer for more suitable ground conditions.
* Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
* Please respect our neighbours along the farm track by driving slowly and considerately when arriving and leaving.
* Facilities: A portable toilet is available for customer use.
* Gift vouchers: Valid for one year from the date of issue. Please note that some dates may not be available for redemption. Please contact us for further information.
* Cancellations: No refunds will be given for cancellations.
* Weather & unforeseen circumstances: In the event of adverse weather conditions or situations beyond our control, we reserve the right to amend, postpone, or cancel experiences. Where possible, alternative dates will be offered.
* If you have any allergies (including hay, animals, or insect stings) or medical conditions, please ensure you take appropriate precautions before attending.
* By attending, you consent to the possibility of photos or videos being taken for promotional purposes. Please inform a member of staff on arrival if you do not wish to be included.
* In the interest of safety and animal welfare, we reserve the right to ask anyone not following guidance to leave the premises.
